WAREHAM RIVERSIDE WALK
27th January 2008

The final item on the Winter 2007-08 programme was a walk, more a stroll, along the river bank and around the Bestwall Nature Reserve and bird sancturay at Wareham.

Enjoy the pictures.

The sun shone and the light was fantastic - real painter's weather. We strolled along chattering and nattering, and only meeting two boggy places en route.

We ended where we began, outside The Quay Inn at Wareham Quay, where we ordered Sunday lunch. This was a real surprise and treat, the meat being serve raw on very hot black granite blocks. Wreathed in steam and smoke, we cooked our beef, lamb and chicken to perfection and noshed it down. The puds were equally as good, and I think we will be going back again.
