Ibberton Walk
31st March 2007
We met on a sunny Saturday morning to take part in a four-mile stroll through the rural backwater that is Ibberton. Penny reports:
It turned out to be a very varied walk - up and down hill, through woodland and open fields, farms and villages (well one village actually, twice), pausing to greet horses, dogs and occasionally people. Not to mention admiring some very expensive looking property.
Try as we might, however, we couldn't spot any exotic farm animals this time! Jack-the-Dog enjoyed lots of lovely smells and one particularly muddy puddle.
The weather was kind to us, but a little mist prevented us fully appreciating the distant views.
Although we were close to Bulbarrow, nobody seemed too keen on extending the walk up there - maybe next time.
We returned to the pub with good appetites and really appreciated the quality of food.
