MORETON WALK

31st December 2007

A group of us met on this cold and damp morning, just opposite the excellent Moreton Tea Rooms. We had to wait a little for three members from the other end of the M3 - due to an accident there - and, when they came we struck off along the paths.

Initially, everything went very well, until the main camera stopped working and we had to drop back onto a mobile phone. The results are fine, though.

Then we came to Penny's Point - the point where the book says to turn left but the path veers to the right, leading walkers way off course. Here, Steph unwrapped a chocolate orange, and this scent lingered marking the spot when we returned from the detour half an hour later!

We ended at the Moreton Tea Rooms for a more-than-excellent carvery meal.
