Shakespeare on Brownsea Island
17th August 2007
Yet again, this year, Alison had long-term-organised us into a visit to Brownsea Island to watch a Shakespeare play and get us some culture away from Iron Age hillforts and barn dances and real ale boozers!
This year it was 'All's Well That Ends Well', a tale of love, war and betrayal - but it all comes out in the wash, as they say (personally, if I'd been her, I would have dropped him like a hot spud!)
The acting was good, the food was yumy and the weather was perfect. What more could be asked?
Enjoy the pictures:

Stephanie doesn't like going to sea - even Poole Harbour!

So she was pleased when we landed at Brownsea Island.

We met up with Alison (Ali) and Tim ("Don't call me Timmy!") for a picnic and watched for Mary.

More Roman than Shakespearean!

"Have a piece of Pineapple! Go on . . . go on . . . go on . . .

Mary chats with Stephanie: Mary has a new CD of music out soon!

We drop kit and prepare for the play.

Stephanie gets a programme.

Alison and Tim sit in the back row and get . . . well, it is the back row after all!

Stephanie is trying to tell Richard that the play is the other way!

The outdoor theatre fills up.

It is all over bar the gnat bites and queueing for the boat home.

Stephanie is happy now the voyage is ended again - Poole Quay at last.

One last quick chin wag and then off home - thank you, Alison. Great event.
