Cycle Meeting - Poole Park

10th June 2007

Barry arranged to meet us in Poole Park to try our hands at riding some of the dozen or so different styles of pushbike on offer from the Dorset Cycling Association.

The weather was perfect, warm and balmy with a soft sunshine to tinge the skin. Penny, Richard and Barry arrived accompanied by Alison, Steph's daughter, and Lily-Rose, Steph's grandaughter: Lily-Rose, of course, stole the show and everyone's heart - which is why she appears so often in the pictures.

In the event, only Penny rode the bikes, the rest of us being content with photography or playing with the baby!

We then retired for an excellent Italian lunch at Mezza Luna, situated right on the lakeside, from where we culd watch sail boarders practicing and birds of all sorts swooping and swimming around.

Lovely. Thank you, Barry!

We arrive . . .

Barry queues . . .

Penny looking for a hedge to park in.

Alison and Steph consider taking part . . . er, no!

Penny meets Lily-Rose for the first time.

Barry gets ready for the off.

A blonde moment?

Hugs all round.

Aunty and Nanny are left at a loose end as Lily-Rose gets snuggled by Penny.

Back-to-back again!

Barry's heart is stolen as we watch!

Aunty Alison wonders what Lily-Rose is doing . . . Jack looks away, disgusted by it all!

Penny begins a daisy chain for Lily-Rose - Barry is still glowing.

Yep! Definitely Zen-like!

Proud nanny!

Poole Park Rose Garden smelt wonderful in the balmy air.

Nannies talk babies before lunch.

Sated and happy, the meeting ends.
