BRADFORD PEVERELL - STRATTON WALK
26th May 2007
Our route from Bradford Peverell to Stratton took us past wild flowers, trees in blossom and various forms of livestock - some of which were as interested in us as we were in them.
We crossed open fields and wandered through woodland along tracks, bridleways and footpaths, enjoying the open vistas from high ground and, lower down, crossing and recrossing the River Frome.
The inevitable game of Poohsticks resulted in more than one voice excitedly declaring "It's mine!" as the winning stick emerged - all we can be sure of is that mine appeared quite a long time after the others. Oh, well.
The Saxon Arms at Stratton was a welcome sight, as we were all more than ready to attack lunch as soon as it was served.

Our (much shorter) walk back was taken at a far more leisurely pace - in fact, certain people found themselves taking a rest on a conveniently placed bench!
