The name of the Organisation shall be FULCRUM SOCIAL GROUP.
The aim of the Organisation is to enable members to plan, organise and attend social events.
Membership shall be open to adults, on payment of an annual membership fee, the amount to be determined by the Committee.
At the discretion of the Committee, members may be asked to leave the Organisation if their behaviour is considered to be unreasonable and/or detrimental to the Organisation.
A Committee shall be appointed to oversee the administration of the Organisation. The Committee shall include Chairman, Treasurer, Secretary and other members who may be appointed as required.
Committee members may hold more than one post.
The Treasurer shall open a bank account in the name of the Organisation.
Any cheque drawn on the Fulcrum Social Group Account must be signed by two of the three Officers of the Committee.
All membership fees shall be paid into the Organisation’s bank account.
The funds shall be used for the administration of the Organisation and furtherance of its aims.
The Organisation will not lend money to members.
Members shall attend events and meetings at their own risk. The Organisation shall not be held responsible for any loss, accident or injury incurred or caused by members.
Members shall not be authorised to incur any debt on behalf of the Organisation, except by prior agreement with the Committee.
An Annual General Meeting shall be held every twelve months, or as soon as is practical thereafter, at which the Committee shall present its report and statement of accounts and then resign.
The AGM will then appoint a new Committee. Former Committee members may be re-appointed. The AGM will then deal with any matters brought forward by members, including any changes to the Constitution.
The Secretary will notify members of the date of the AGM at least fourteen days in advance.
Other General Meetings may be called by the Committee if required. The Secretary will give members reasonable notice of such meetings.
No AGM or General Meeting shall take place if less than half the Committee are present.
The organisation can only be dissolved at a Special General Meeting called for that purpose, and with the agreement of at least two thirds of the members and all of the Committee.
Disposal of any remaining funds shall be decided at the meeting.
