CONGRATULATIONS to Alison for completing the London
Marathon in 4 hours 12 minutes and 7 seconds and for raising £600 for
charity. I think I would
still be trying to get to the finish line, now!
JACK – I think most of you
knew and have met Jack the Dog. He was quite a
character within the Fulcrum Group and came on many walks with us. Unfortunately, old age, arthritis and
diabetes crept up and he could no longer do the walks. On 17 March he
finally gave up his walking pads for good and died. He is greatly missed
and is lovingly remembered.
SPECIAL REQUEST. Please could I have your ideas
for the Summer programme by 26 July 2010 by e-mailing me on the above address.
Without members
suggesting and hosting the events, the group would not be a success so please
put the 26 July in your diaries
now. If you have missed the
deadline but have an idea for an event, please let me know and we can put it on
the website and e-mail those on the Google group.
Thank you to those who have sent in events for
this programme, and also a big thank you to all those
who hosted an event on the last programme.
For confidentiality reasons the telephone numbers have been removed
from the programme but if you are interested in an event and have lost your
programme, please contact me for more information. There is an associated email group you
can join for late postings to be sent direct to you.
I look forward to
seeing you at future events.
