The start of a new year and the first signs of Spring are on their way with the glimpse of bulbs peeping through the wet soil.  I actually saw my first daffodil in bloom this week, so I feel pleased that we are getting a little closer to lighter nights and the warmer weather.   I would like to thank everyone who attended the recent planning meeting, and also a big thank you to all those who hosted an event on the last programme.

The planning meeting is always a very important date on the quarterly programme as the group is member driven.  Without members suggesting and hosting the events, the group would not be a success so please put the 21 April 2009 in your diaries now.  We look forward to seeing you all with your ideas.  If you would like to host an event or need more information, please contact me here.

Another date for your diary is the Brownsea Open Air Theatre.  The play this year is Hamlet and the performance is on Friday 24 July.  Payment for tickets needs to be with Alison by 9 March at the latest.  This is a very popular event so please contact Alison as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.   Please see the programme for more details.

The group’s website continues to be popular with our members who are able to access it.  We have photographs of some of the previous events and all the information of the current programme.  For confidentiality reasons the telephone numbers have been removed from the programme but if you are interested in an event and have lost your programme, please contact me here for more information.
