It’s amazing that the 2008 Autumn programme is now in circulation; it only seems like yesterday that we were arranging the 2007 programme. We have had some lovely walks this summer and enjoyed good food at excellent venues I would like to thank everyone who hosted an event on the last programme.

If you would like to host an additional event for this programme or need more information, please contact Stephanie.

The planning meeting is always a very important date on the quarterly programme as the group is member driven. Without members suggesting and hosting the events, the group would not be a success so please put the 21 October 2008 in your diaries now. We look forward to seeing you all with your ideas and, of course, the customary drink in the pub after.

AUTUMN PROGRAMME 2008

Please let your host know that you are attending an event and, in particular, book by the specified dates, as latecomers might be disappointed.

AUGUST

Friday 1	Brownsea Open Air Theatre. For those people who already have tickets please contact Alison for more details on times of boats etc.	Alison

Monday 4	Fireworks at Weymouth. Enjoy the fireworks over Weymouth. Please contact Kerry immediately for more information.	Kerry

Thursday 7	Fulcrum Social Group AGM. There will be drinks at 7.15 pm and the AGM will start prompt at 7.45 pm. Food will be provided following the AGM. Please return your RSVP to Penny as soon as possible.	Penny

Sunday 10	A Riverside Walk – Dewlish and the Devil’s Brook. A lovely 3-mile walk along woodland paths beside a chalk stream. Meet at The Oak car park at 11.00 am. Please contact Richard by 3 August for more information. CANCELLED	Richard

Wednesday 13	The Poet Laureate, Poundbury. A meal at this very popular venue. Meet at 8.00 pm. Please contact Stephanie by 6 August to book.	Stephanie

Saturday 23	A 4½-mile circular walk from Sutton Poyntz via Osmington. Meet at the duck pond at 10.30 am. This lovely walk will be followed by lunch at the Sunray. Please contact Diane by 16 August for more information. CANCELLED	Diane
